Mi experiencia asistiendo a una mental status exam with testing fue muy desagradable,despues de esperar en la sala por mas de 1 hora, al final llego la dra, sin previo aviso de que estariamos 1 hora sentada esperandola. Ella me nego la entrada a la evaluation de mi hija que tenia 12 años, al final del reporte su analysis fue que mi hija no era calificada para apoyar una desabilidad. Yesterday (4/23/2025) I took my adult son in to get an autism screening. We were both treated with such great care. I was checked on a few times in the waiting room to see if I needed anything, and to let me know my son was fine. (Yes, he's an adult, but I still worry and they recognized that) The care and the empathy they showed us, was a huge comfort. I highly recommend them, and I thank them.
Dr. Sanders was very kind and understanding when I needed to reschedule. She made time for us and created an appointment for us the same day I called because she happened to have a cancellation. Her office is clean and she checks on clients waiting in the front area to ensure they are comfortable and she even has toys for kids too! She had a great personality and was very knowledgeable. I brought my son in for an evaluation. He is young and was very nervous. I expressed my concern, that he's not good when I'm not in the room (he just turned 5, but he was 4 at the time). The Dr. was understanding and so was her associate. I was allowed to stay in the room. She and her associate were compassionate and thorough. I was asked questions, I never thought of, but now make sense. They made testing seem fun for my son--like a game. It was good experience for him.
