I'm not sure why Dr. Zepeda has a bad rating because he was very sincere and empathetic to my mom and family during such a rough time. I'm glad my mom was in his care and would reccomended him to anyone.
If you would like treatment from someone who is empathetic and has a pleasant bedside manner, this is NOT the provider that you are looking for. This individual seems too wrapped up in his ego. He is consistently condescending to surrounding staff as well as patients and their families. I write this based on several interactions, not just a singular encounter. My son was admitted with some stomach issues and Dr. Zepeda came into the room and asked my son what was going on. My son was giving him the history of what was happening while Dr. Zepeda was on his phone. At first I was thinking how rude that was because he seemed not to be listening. He then replied with, “I am sorry if I repeat any questions you may have already answered but I was looking at your chart while you were telling me” I thought okay that at least makes sense that he was looking at his chart.
