I have been a patient at this office for 8 1/2 years. I have always held Dr. Colin Smith in high regard. today it changed… I had an appointment on August 8 at 8 AM. I arrived at 8 AM. First, I want to start this review by thanking Dr. Colin Smith for his care over the past three years. The level of care I’ve received has been nothing but thorough, attentive and truly impressive as a family physician. Secondly, from what I read below, I feel it needs to be said, Dr. Smith is kind and highly educated. If you’re looking for a family physician in the area of Cookeville, I’m sure you have noticed. Very disappointed with this office. This is the second time I have stopped by and they were closed during their posted office hour. It is an inconvenience to drive all the way somewhere just to find out they are closed during posted office hours with no explanation. I understand there might not be any appointments so the office closed early but some one could still need to stop in to pick up paperwork before 4pm. If your office will not be open at least post it on your website that it closes to the public before 4pm.
I had a very disappointing experience at this doctor's office. From the moment I walked in, I felt dismissed and unheard. The doctor didn't take my concerns seriously, cutting me off mid-sentence whenever I tried to explain my symptoms. Instead of offering a thorough evaluation, I was told I was being "rude" in my tone, even though I was simply trying to advocate for my health. I found this approach unprofessional and concerning.
