Dr. Marlar examined my husband to rule out a hernia and assess abdominal discomfort. He was thorough, articulate, kind, gave us a clear picture of what was going on and how to proceed should anything change. He answered all questions and still managed to be efficient. 10/10 highly recommend.
I was referred to the Surgical Clinic by the ER for a gallbladder surgery consultation for swelling, aching, cramping, nausea, and near vomiting. The front desk staff were cordial until I requested Living Will and Power of Attorney forms and stated my surprise and disappointment that a surgery center did not offer copies. Dr. Marlar was incredible! He was validating, professional, friendly, and immediately made me feel heard. After dealing with symptoms for so long, it was such a relief to finally have a doctor who understood what I was experiencing and took it seriously. My surgery was quick, easy, and recovery was almost painless. I truly hope I don’t need another surgery in the future, but if I do, Dr. Marlar would absolutely be my first choice.
