I highly recommend Dr. Appel as he is very knowledgeable, understanding, helpful and thorough. Any issues and concerns I have are always addressed in a timely manner. He even called me once on New Year's eve to inform me of my test results. The results were concerning, not something that you should wait on and he advised me over the phone my options of what to do.
I WENT TO HIM FOR MANY YEARS, ALL HE EVER DID WAS SHOVE THAT TUBE UP MY BEHIND, NEVER TALKED ABOUT GASTRO ISSUES. GUESS HE JUST REALLY LIKES TO SHOVE THAT TUBE UP PEOPLE’s BEHINDS. GOT RID OF HIM.
AFTER GOING TO THIS DOCTOR FOR MANY YEARS, FOUND HE ONLY LIKED DOING COLONOSCOPIES. THERE ARE SO MANY GASTRO DIAGNOSES BUT HE NEVER DISCUSSED THEM WITH ME OR CAME UP WITH A REASON FOR MY DISCOMFORT. THESE DOCTORS LIKE TO KEEP PATIENTS IN THE DARK. FED UP WITH HIM, I GOT ALL MY RECORDS. AND NEVER WENT BACK TO HIM OR HIS GROUP.
I will highly recommend Dr. Appel to any one that has gastrointestinal issues. His positive attitude erased all of my fears toward my procedure and treatment.
AVOID THIS PRACTICE! I am a patient that they made wait 3 weeks for an appt while in pain and vomiting blood. They lied to us and made us go to ER where we waited 6 hours and were told that no, those procedures (scope, scan) ARE NOT done in ER, only at or by the practice. They are heartless and soulless and not to be trusted.
I would highly recommend Dr. Appel and his staff at WCMG.
One of the nicest docs that you will meet. Very knowledgable and helpful. I have been going to him for many years.
