I trust dr. Mason to do the right thing. She always answers my questions in great detail and I always feel welcome in her office. I tend to freak out about certain procedures and tests but she has a way to calm me down by being straightforward about any fears and realistic about processes and outcomes. I've been seeing Dr. Mason for 6 years and won't go to another OBGYN. Hope she sticks around and doesn't retire anytime soon.
Abrupt, uncaring, unhelpful & unsympathetic. I was going thru menopause. Asked abt hormone supplements. She sneered & said "what hormones? You don't have any!" & walked out of the room. I never went back to the Cleveland Clinic in West Palm Beach where she still works.
Never waited more than 15 min... kind, patient, didn't rush me out. Always responds to my emails on My Chart often within the 14 hours or even less. She also found a mass which another Dr. missed
She performed and coded tests that were not required and for which I ended up paying a lot of money for. She refused to process an annual mammogram with the correct code, saying it was diagnostic which was completely inaccurate. She has prescribed meds which other doctors at the clinic have questioned. She is not qualified, in my opinion, to see patience and treat them. Her bedside manner is dispicable and she will make you feel as if she is superior to you and you are an idiot. She insisted on performing a test which was unnecessary - I explained why it was unnecessary, and I told her I did not want to have it done. She did it anyway. Insurance didn't cover it - I had to pay completely out of pocket. It felt like just another example of doctors running unnecessary tests to maximize their profit.
Im also a physician, and overall Dr. Mason is a wonderful skilled Doctor. She's a tough cookie, and pretty much no BS, straight as an arrow. If you're looking for someone straight to the point she's it, sometime life throws us curve balls; but she told me " don't worry, I got you" and at that point I knew I was in good hands. I choose my physicians based on their knowledge and skill to make the right decisions even when its a tough decision. I've been seeing Dr. Mason at the Cleveland Clinic for 3 years. I think she's awesome - always helpful, very friendly and answers any questions I have. I recommend her to anyone seeking a gynecologist.
Very down to earth and friendly. She may run late because she takes her time when you need it. Been going to her for years.
Dr. Mason upset me so much that I stopped going to the Cleveland Clinic. She wrote to me on MyChart (their electronic interface) that I was going through perimenipause and would most likely never have children . I was only 40 years old and had never had children. It was extremely insensitive. It's like getting a text with bad news.
