Everyone has been helpful and friendly. Dr. George was willing to try radiation where this had never been done with this type of cancer before. it did help.
Our experience with Dr. George was not positive, overall. The treatment plan was not the best possible option for care, and Dr. George was not engaging with the family. His outlook on prognosis was far from positive.
Dr. George is not only extremely knowlegeable about Hematology/Oncology but has a great bedside manner and takes time to answer your questions. I have been a patient of the practice since 1994. He was the first doctor in Central Ohio to treat CML patients with STI-571, now known as Gleevec. He has held the position as the Regional Director of Oncologists/Hematologists in Central Ohio. He and MDACC AT U OF T in Houston work great together! I have been in Molecular Remission for 16 years.
