After having a tonic clonic seizure, I went to see him as my regular care provider to ask questions and figure out my health issues. He didn't believe me that I had a seizure, so I spent the appt trying to convince him, even though I had obvious seizure related injuries. I left discouraged. I went back again only for a referral to a neurologist. Again, he still wasn't convinced I was having seizures, but gave me the referral because it is what I wanted. During our last visit we asked our doctor about getting on PREP, to which he was not up-to-date with. He did his best to explain our options, but it did not give us the answers we seek. It was obvious that he was not comfortable with this discussion. When my partner went in for an individual health check-up, my partner told me that the doctor was not paying attention to what he was saying and asking about some pain. Compassionate, scholarly, attentive, and one of the best listeners I've ever met. He spent the necessary time to figure out what was wrong and worked with my family over the next several weeks as eventually we all got sick. In my view, he is the best physician I've ever seen. Just go see him; you'll be glad that you do.
Dr. Wenninger is the best prepared family physicians from a professional knowledge and skill point I have had care for me. I have had my fourth visit with him now after the change from a previous physician and my last visit settled my former thoughts - Dr Wenninger is by every measure up to date on the literature of medicine, he is attentive to specific conditions patients come with. I am very fortunate to have him.
