I had a urgent surgery for a hiatal hernia last year December 15 2025 I reside in Ft Myers, Fl where there was no one available to due the surgery needed as a result a ambulance took me to Tampa General Hospital. I found the surgery to be an exceptional experience because I never suffered from any pain but I also remember at one point resisting and had someone telling me to relax that everything was okay, to just relax. My husband underwent Robotic Assisted Esophagectom Surgery back in October of 2025. He was a Stage 4 Esophagus cancer patient and we were scared to death. Dr. Christopher Ducion is amazing and his staff offer you all the support in the world. I personally was suffering of really bad GERD reflux that caused lesions in my esophagus. To make it all a bit more complicated I had a hiatal hernia as well. I experienced nightly vomiting and many times even blood. Nothing I ate would feel good. My surgery was April 28th. It has been like I was reborn again. No more acid reflux no more pain. He is definitely my angel sent from heaven. I highly recommend Dr. Christopher Ducion.
Dr. DuCoin is incredible!! I can't praise this doctor enough! Dr. DuCoin performed my sleeve surgery in 2022, and I lost a significant amount of weight. However, I started experiencing heartburn. It got to the point where, when I would lay down at night, I would wake up with stomach fluid in my mouth and nose. I had to sleep sitting up for over a year!
