I had Nissen fundoplication laparoscopic surgery for a hiatal hernia on 7/8/20. It’s been 3 weeks and I feel great. The surgery was a success! I am now eating soft foods with no difficulties. Dr. DuCoin is an Outstanding Surgeon. I was referred to Dr. DuCoin by my Oncologist to perform a distal esophagectomy. Originally, I was going to MD Anderson in Houston for the procedure but after consulting with Dr. DuCoin, it was clear that he was the best Surgeon for procedure. Dr. Ducoin exceeded my expectations with his surgical skills, knowledge, compassion and bedside manner. Recenlty had Nissen and huge hitial hernia repair surgery with Dr DuCoin May 2018.. He was fantastic! He has a great bedside manner and truly cares about his patients and the concerns. I was so afraid as I have heard horror stories about this surgery. But he was able to correct and repair everything. I haven't had any reflux since surgery. I recently had a hiatal hernia repair done by Dr. Ducoin June 14, 2018. Before my surgery he made sure I was informed on EVERYTHING that was about to happen. The moment he walked through the door during my clinic visit he made sure the atmosphere was comfortable and showed so much compassion with his smile! He’s very very down to earth too. Dr. DuCoin did abdominal surgery on my mother in law last week. The procedure was left incompleted, she was discharged home, 3 and a half hours away. She was told to reschedule in 2 weeks to finish and fix the problem. Her condition was not followed by the surgeon or his office. She has spent 3 days trying to schedule a follow up for 3 days with no luck.
