Five years ago today my daughter and I walked into the Defiance Mercy ER due to a large infection on her leg that rapidly was getting worse. Previous treatment was unsuccessful. My daughter was so fortunate because Dr. Goliver was on duty, and I think he's the only doctor in Northwest Ohio who knew what the problem was. He immediately diagnosed aeromonas, a pathogen linked to flesh-eating bacteria. Lab tests later confirmed his diagnosis. His care didn't stop after my daughter was transfered to St. Vincent's.
