Was supposed to be the doctor delivering my baby but instead decided to let her be deprived of oxygen.
I had a great experience with one of the nurse midwives. I think her name was Kelsey? I struggle with PCOS and possibly endo, and she was very knowledgeable and gave me several options to think about. She seemed up to date on research and didn’t dismiss anything I said, which I have experienced quite a bit from other obgyn providers. The office was very nice as well!
I’ve been with doctor Dooley since 2021 and she has delivered two of my kids. I have never had a bad experience, but I give her a 3 star because I hardly ever see her. I saw her maybe twice with my second. And the times I did see her the interaction was very short and to be honest didn’t really seem like she cared. Just did her round and on to the next. Like I said, I’ve never had a bad experience but it’s just…. Meh. After 5 years you would expect for your doctor to act like they care…. Her staff is great though.
I'm sure every patient is different but Dooley only saw me twice this whole pregnancy, did my glucose tolerance test the 2nd visit (not the normal 20 weeks) and claimed I had diabetes. My A1C was 5.6 which was down from my 5.8 I had at my physical 3 months prior, so 0.1 into the prediabetic range. Even though improving, she forced 50 units of insulin daily, (no metformin allowed apparently-unlike every other doctor) and wouldn't allow me to just continue dieting or exercise like I had been.
