I really like DrChen, and his nurses. I would recommend him, and my husband just starting seeing him for care. However, all that said the front office staff is incredibly difficult to deal with! I get they need to know the basics of why I need an appt, but I am sick of explaining my healthcare, and justify what I need to someone who answers a phone for a living! I’ve been a loyal patient of Dr. Chen since 2003—over 22 years. After recently moving back to the area, I chose his office again, trusting in the care and service I once knew. Unfortunately, that trust was completely let down. My appointment was at 8:15 AM. I left Mesquite at 6:45 AM, giving myself 90 minutes to arrive. An unexpected traffic jam near Arlington pushed my ETA to 8:27 AM. I called the office around 8:02 AM to notify them I was running just a few minutes behind. Communication issues. I call and was asked if I can hold one minute. On hold for 12 mins. Attempted to call back 2x. No answer. So, I’m unable to cancel my appointment. I guess you’ll figure it out when I don’t show up.

My grandma has many signs of dementia. Dr. Chen has informed us that she is fine for many years. She talks to her dead husband, gets lost, falls, gets confused, can't remember who we are. When she is with him he doesn't ask questions, doesn't listen and says "Your good" without following up on any test . The front desk has not set up her home health or physical therapy. It's been a month now. I do not recommend this Doctor. He only wants your money.
