Dr. Hollander is one of the best, most caring physicians I have ever known. She listens to every single part of you in order to find every single issue and once she does, she dives into them- each one - in order to find what is necessary for ALL of them. She's the complete package. I will miss her TERRIBLY.
I had the privilege of being a patient of Dr Hollander while she was practicing in NY. She was hands down the best internal med doctor I have ever had. She cared about my health as a whole, diet, exercise, lifestyle concerns etc. I was heartbroken when she left NY but want to share so anyone seeking an exceptional doctor should absolutely see Dr Hollander. I hope I can find someone even half as good as she where I now live
She refused to treat bad case of abdominal parasite infestation. She is eager to pass the buck, like last year when she instructed me to "have the Christus oncologist monitor" my flu symptoms, or last month when she instructed me to ask the GI doctor to check my small intestines for the parasites I "claim to have" while he was doing a colonoscopy in my large intestines. Dr Hollander turned every stone, and followed every trail to determine why I showed up at the ER with hypoxia. She tested everything: looked at every chamber in my heart, x rayd and ct scanned me. After admitting me, and running tests overnight she arrived at my room first thing in the morning with a new hypothesis and a cheerful “let’s get you outta here.” Music to my ears. Dr Hollander is smart, personable, caring and fully present. You are in great hands if she is your doctor.
I saw Dr. Hollander yesterday for the first time. I am a challenging patient in that I am a senior with many serious medical issues. The doctor was patiently going through each step of my history and symptoms and was able to give me excellent directions for my care. Her experience in ER shows, she is focused and a great listener.
