I had my surgery in 2004 and it "failed".....I was one of the 15% per Dr. Butrick. His office charged my high option gov't Humana insurance BIG BUCKS too so I was extremely irked, to say the least. Grrrr.
Dr. Butrick is amazing. He is the best at understanding and treating pelvic floor issues and interstitial cystitis. He quickly worked me in for an appointment when I was in unbearable pain. He explained all medical procedures to me in a caring and professional manner. My interstitial cystitis was so bad that I thought I was going to have to get a urostemy. He diagnosed my problem quickly and explained what the problem was, scheduled physical therapy first then recommended trying the inter stem implant. It has worked wonders, it's the difference between night and day.
He has bad attitude and bad bedside matters. He is getting frustrated if patient asking questions. Would not recommend him to anybody. Had 3 appointments with him and couldn't take his comments anymore.
