No, I would never recommend Dr. Floyd to anyone with back problems. I had a very negative experience with Dr. Floyd concerning my chronic back pain. He was quite rushed and was clearly distant and blunt when talking to me. After examining the images of my spine, without the slightest concern, he stated that he could not do anything for me and that’s the way life is! Got my life back. I had a full fusion in June of 2016. Because Dr. Floyd had so clearly explained what to expect, I went into surgery fully confident that Dr. Floyd cared and that I would receive the best outcome possible. Before surgery, I could not walk 20 yards or stand for 5 minutes without debilitating pain. I now can hike, stand without pain, and most importantly, pick up my grand babies! I had back surgery in 2011 with Dr. Floyd. Before meeting him I was almost bound to a wheelchair - considering I was an athlete, couldn't do anything and intoxicated with pain medication. After seeing 3 specialists I was referred to Dr. Floyd. I will always remember he opens the door and says "how is that you are still walking with your back fractured", hugged me, set up surgery for the next week. Very cautious, practical, realistic, honest, caring, and extremely capable individual. If you do not need surgery, he will recommend alternatives. He spends whatever time you need and explains everything carefully and easy to understand. I had neck and back surgery including fusions and multiple stenosis resolutions. I can walk without pain for the first time in 30 years. It has been 14 months since my last surgery and I am doing great. Cannot recommend him enough!
