After having a chest CT scan at Mass General to accompany us to our evaluation that afternoon with Dr. Blatt he called us saying that my husband was having a pulmonary embolism and to proceed to the ER. Dr. Blatt said “hesitation could be fatal”. My husband was not experiencing any signs or symptoms of shortness of breath or distress.
