Fantastic first visit. I was referred to Dr. Scales by my PCP, for a second opinion on a kidney stone surgery. Check-in and wait time less than 5 minutes. Dr. Scales is kind, attentive, personable, and highly knowledgeable of latest urology best practices. He did a thorough analysis of my slightly complicated situation and did 3 low-radiation scans (very convenient- very short walk from his office), and urine collection all under 50 minutes. Sadly, I had a terrible experience. I was recommended to this office but had difficulty getting an appointment. After the appointment, the promised Rx was not sent to my pharmacy. I tried multiple times to contact the office (during business hours) only to get a message that someone would contact me in 72 hours. Will not be returning.
Dr. Scales has EXCELLENT bedside manner, is incredibly knowledgeable, capable, and genuinely cares about his patients. He listenes closely to patient’s input regarding treatment, takes the patient’s goals, expectations, and concerns into mind when developing a treatment plan, and provides treatment alternatives for the patient to consider if the initial treatment option is not agreed upon.
