I am a senior and broke my wrist 16 months ago. When I initially questioned Dr M about surgery, he said a study showed seniors heal better without surgery. I knew after months, my wrist was not healing correctly. I showed Dr M a copy of a new study assessing surgery vs non surgery in seniors with wrist fractures. It looked at factors not only by age, but also by her or his level of independence, dominant hand, socially active etc. He dismissed it. I went to OT for months and was dismissed because I had plateaued. Now, 16 mon... read more

Excellent surgeon. Repaired a severe break in my mother’s arm which included a bone graph. Always kind with a calm demeanor. We think he is pretty amazing. Appointments always run on time. Staff is great as well.

Outstanding attention and care. Thorough explanation of x-rays and follow up. Excellent hand surgery resident performed initial assessment and exam.

The staff is rude, they do not respond to their own health portal requests for appointments, they do not return calls, they are not in the office at posted office hours. Generally speaking, it is extremely difficult to get an appointment or to even talk to someone in the office. This is, by far, one of the worst experiences I have had with the office of a medical provider.

He has incredible finesse handling small broken bones in the hand. I had a complex fracture and he did an amazing job fixing my hand, knuckle, and the two fingers which had been disjointed. I felt no pain and he is meticulous about wound care and avoiding infections. I can't speak highly enough about my experience, I a man grateful to live in an area with access to such a great doctor.

I broke my wrist on 6/3/18, while working overseas. I returned to Boston 6/5, saw Dr Mudgal 6/6, & had surgery a week later. The surgery and the post-op visits went very well & I am on/ahead of target with healing. Dr Mudgal was very supportive.
