Dr Tougas is incredible! She went the extra mile to make sure our little boy was well cared for during his surgery and throughout his care afterwards. She is so skilled and gave us a lot of comfort knowing he was in her care. We couldn’t be more grateful!
Top notch surgeon!!!! We have been seeing Dr.Tougas for eleven months now and I can not put into words what she means to our family. Our son was severely injured in an accident last summer. She, along with his plastic surgeon, saved his lower extremities. We are forever grateful for her skill, compassion and dedication to getting our boy back to as “normal” as possible. She will ALWAYS be dear to us.
I wish I could rate her a zero. It has taken a year for my sons arm to heal. She refused surgery because it would leave a scar, instead my son has been dealing with a broken arm for a year. Today she said he’s healed and basically that she didn’t care that his arm cosmetically looks bad!! He will have an arm deformity for life. He can’t touch his shoulder, he still has pain and she seemed to not care at all. Never in my life will I take my children to Childrens Mercy Orthopedic doctors!!!!
