I had Whipple surgery one week ago at Mass General, and I am happy to say, that As a result of his clinical expertise on this surgery, I am on the way to a completely, full recovery. He, as well as, his entire surgical team, are excellent! As a person, he is a warm, well dispositioned man. I very highly recommend him.

After many years of ER visits for clear gallbladder attack symptoms with negative ultrasounds and CT scans and then an abnormal HIDA scan then a bad experience at another hospital, I was finally referred to Dr. Fernandez-del-Castillo. He reviewed my case and very shortly we proceeded with gallbladder removal surgery. His demeanor and bedside manner are excellent and he is highly knowledgeable and him and his team took great care of me throughout the whole process on the day of surgery.
