i was a patient of st vincent’s in march of 2019. i started seeing dr. sotolongo a month prior to my inpatient stay. he put me on medication and once arriving at st vincent’s adolescent inpatient unit, the staff and nurses decided to change my medication because they did not agree with what he had chosen. i was there for 2 weeks, and at one point during my stay he caught wind of my med change and came up to the unit. he entered my room (which i was alone in) and i sat on the bed while he proceeded to yell at me over my med c... read more
Unfortunately, I would not recommend Dr. Sotolongo for any mental health related services. His inability to help after over a full year of weekly sessions for a simple anxiety disorder was unacceptable. Especially when the next doctor involved was able to make a life changing difference in a few months. That is what prompted this review. It’s clear now that Dr. Sotolongo was very good at billing but not much else.
