Not very helpful. Misdiagnosed a snake bite as a “contusion by rock” and continued to make other disparaging remarks within the system. Never cleaned the area to look for puncture marks which were later observed once cleaned. The bite had to be treated to reduce swelling from the foot/ankle area up the leg (photos taken). Could have been a life or death situation, hopefully this doctor/his nurse/institution doesn’t do this to someone else.

If I could give less than one star, I would. He “treated” my elderly family members so poorly. He sent them home as bad off as they came in (which is TERRIBLE given their situation) with zero help or information. I would expect more from a medical professional.

Went to Bon Secours ER Monday with back pain so severe I was in tears! I told Dr. Wentzel I thought it was intestinal but I could see he was not listening at all. I had a back xray that showed no issue so I mentioned my intestinal problems again with no concern from the dr and was sent home with ibuprofen and flexeril and told to go to the free clinic on Monday. 1st of all I pay $200 a pay period for very good insurance and went to the ER because I was in extreme pain and I rarely get sick and usually only go to the gyno ann... read more
