We brought our dog Goose to Dr. Burt twice for a severely distended abdomen, lethargy, and not eating. No vitals were taken and he never palpated Goose’s abdomen. We were told it was gas and treated for a stomach bug. On our second visit, labs were done but again, no full physical exam. Days later, a second vet immediately identified the real issue — severe fluid buildup and pericardial effusion. Goose was suffering, and we didn’t know. Please seek a second opinion if something doesn’t feel right. We wish we had.
Dr. Burt has been so wonderful with our animals and us. When we has to put our 18 year old dog down he was so kind and gentle. Our pets dogs and cat are not afraid or shy with him. To me that says a lot. He's spot on on diagnosis and treatments. We Love you and thank you!
