I just called in to ask if they see patients for sleep apnea and Holly RUDELY said “I can’t tell you that it’s a hipaa violation”. As someone who is hipaa certified as an independent Medicare broker, I didn’t ask for any patient’s PHI to be disclosed without their consent, just if a loved one who is incapable of helping herself could come in and start the process of being diagnosed.
