My geriatric mother and I are patients of Dr. Shunk and have been for several years now. Both of us are completely satisfied, and personally, I have consistently found him to be both practical and compassionate, thorough, and respectful of patient time constraints too - a remarkable exception in most other practices I've dealt with in State College. I recommend him extremely highly.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Shunk to anyone. I saw him for a few years before I finally left his practice. He was very inconsiderate, has a bull-headed attitude, and not fully aware of the patients' situation. He wants to jump to conclusions without evening coming into the room to sit down and discuss symptoms. His first method of diagnosing is to do "covid tests" without even discussing patient history and current symptoms.
