had lazer surgery. complications 1 week later. called the office. Dr.chan was away. Rather than call the urgent care office and refer me to be seen they told me to just go to urgent care. Now im sitting here for probably hours because I have to see an urgent care doctor first before going upstairs to see an eye doctor im in a ton of pain. wondering why they couldn't just skip this step by calling the urgent care eye doctor office. seems unfair

Never in life have I dealt with such a “doctor.” You’re fine if you have no issues after surgery. If you do, you’re on your own. Dismissive, impatient, rude and unfeeling. You see doctors if you have health concerns. If you have any concerns he will tell you ‘everyone has that’ or ‘that’s normal’ and finally, ‘find a new doctor then if you’re not happy.’ The money is foremost in his mind. It’s scary to have someone like this treating people.

Dr Chan is the absolute worst doctor in any field that I have ever dealt with in my 70 years. He is dismissive & arrogant! He actually told me "I had one good eye why don't I just go with that for a while"he also said that he was spending way too much time with me answering questions.. after two appts with him and I list confidence with his tatics & I switched to another ophthalmologist.. Dr Fava, whose testing and diagnosis matched exactly what I said I was experiencing...He confirmed one of my eyes had very poor vision com... read more

I've been going to Dr. Chan for many years. The staff at the front desk, examination rooms and Dr. Chan is friendly and has good interactions with patients. I only give 3 stars because today one staff member treated me like an object on a conveyor belt. She shoved an eye occluder to my face so close. I had to retract my head to see what she was handing to me. Also, without telling me, she pushed my forehead and instilled eye drops. It happened so quickly, I felt so violated. There was no explanation before the instillation a... read more

I had surgical procedure at this clinic and Dr. Chen and his staff were informative, patient and generally caring. Dr. Chen demonstrated good knowledge, communication and attitude. For my one-year follow up, the experience was again positive, including with office staff being reasonably helpful. The office booked and called me for a final follow up appointment. I was experiencing dry, irritated eyes and had pressure around the socket. So I wondered if this was a concern. Dr. Chen this time to my surprise was abrupt, impatien... read more
