Update- when the doctor finally got involved - all was well, but he was never informed of any issues by his team. Be very careful using this dentist. While he appears to be good, his office will not return phone calls, will not schedule appointments and will give you the run around when you have a question/issue. The receptionist Kateleen is nice, but no one will ever return your call.
