Dr. Bowie delivered my daughter and he was phenomenal. He always keeps me smiling and I always left laughing. Truly an amazing o.b. The staff at his facility do an impeccable job. I would highly recommend.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this office to any expectant mother. Some personal encounters with office staff have left the impression of overall unprofessionalism, lack of authenticity and insensitivity in dealing with patients. These resulted in me changing to another OB/GYN to continue my prenatal care. This office came highly recommended to me and I was very disappointed in the care and treatment received.
Do not go to this man for surgery. I had ablation surgery by Dr. Bowie, he sent me home with NO pain meds, told me to take ibuprofen and that if it didn't help or the pain got worse to call his office and they would call in something stronger. Went home, took ibuprofen TWICE, pain was excruciating, called his office and was told there was NOTHING they could do because he wasn't there and wouldn't be back, so basically was told I would just have to suffer through the pain.
Dr. Bowie is very nice and thorough and easy to talk to. His staff on the other hand have been rude to my daughter several times during the course of her pregnancy. Nurse Joy needs a lesson in customer service and needs to listen when patients are telling her something instead of cutting them off. The front desk could also use a class on compassion and customer service. No patient should have several episodes with the same office that leaves them in tears.
I enjoyed the whole staff!
