Just took my mom to see Dr. Banks today and it was such a pleasure. He was very thorough and addressed all of my mom's concerns and questions. Not only was he very patient with my mom he explained things in detail and gave great explanations for her as well. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Banks to my friends and family if any of them needed to see a podiatrist, thank you Dr. Banks.
The doctor recommended a calcaneal osteotomy to me (for my Achilles tendonitis on my left foot which had not responded to therapy given by a number of different local therapists. They seemed to even make it worse!). He had only performed one or two a month, but he was so kind and convincing I felt I could trust him. I believe that was a mistake on my part. Selected Dr. Banks for a surgical procedure. When a post-op complication developed, Dr. Banks denied my repeated requests for a wound care referral. Once I obtained a referral from my PCP, I was told by two other surgeons I was facing possible amputation. Also discovered that Dr. Banks broke a bone in my foot during initial surgery but he never disclosed that information or addressed it. A total disaster all the way around.
This doctor is treating my 16 year old athletic son, HE IS THE BEST. Great listener, great with teens. He sat down and took time to fully understand what was going on & never made us feel rushed. He had a great conversation with my son about why he had the issues, what we could expect during recovery and what we could do at home to help. He really acknowledged him and spoke directly to him. I appreciate that. Great bedside manner overall and the office staff was polite as well. We had complimentary coffee and played Connect ... read more
This podiatrist’s office has a clean waiting room. Office staff is trained to do X-rays and take blood pressure. Do not be surprised to get a call or follow up visit with a “medical assistant” (aka, absolutely no training other than basic blood pressure monitoring or bandage changes). Zero availability for questions or concerns from practitioner. I have since moved on to an orthopedic surgeon for issues this physician had no other resolutions other than a surgical procedure that was excruciating and ultimately unnecessary.
