PS: It is now October 13th 2025. The only thing holding my calcaneus heel bone together are the two screws the doctor put in. The complete osteotomy came open & my calcanius is now split open, save for the screws. The external bone stimulator is not working, which means there has been even further damage, including either skin tissue damage around the bone or blood issues going to the bone. Dr. Banks did an amazing job on my bunion surgery! He is the most empathetic, competent, and devoted doctor I’ve ever received care from. He is very detailed-oriented and will tell the patient everything they need to know about their surgery—even if it means breaking down fancy medical terms for us! I’m so happy I chose Dr. Banks to perform this surgery and I’m excited to get the next foot done as soon as I’m able to.

Just took my mom to see Dr. Banks today and it was such a pleasure. He was very thorough and addressed all of my mom's concerns and questions. Not only was he very patient with my mom he explained things in detail and gave great explanations for her as well. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Banks to my friends and family if any of them needed to see a podiatrist, thank you Dr. Banks.
The doctor recommended a calcaneal osteotomy to me (for my Achilles tendonitis on my left foot which had not responded to therapy given by a number of different local therapists. They seemed to even make it worse!). He had only performed one or two a month, but he was so kind and convincing I felt I could trust him. I believe that was a mistake on my part.
