I’ve been a patient of Dr. Brendan O’Connell since early 2020, when I first began the process of bariatric surgery. From the very first appointment, throughout the entire process, Dr. O’Connell treated me with excellent care. Dr. O'Connell and all the Cooper staff are amazing. They accepted me mid-process after my original surgeon left his practice suddenly, and seamlessly continued with my surgery. He is very personable, professional, and knowledgeable.
I initially had my gastric bypass with Dr. OConnell in august 2018 and have had nothing but positive experiences since then. Anything that has gone off has been solely on my part. The whole office is so encouraging and positive! i never leave the office feeling defeated. I recommend Dr. OConnell for sure! I actually developed gallstones and within a week I was set up by them for surgery to make sure they cause me no more pain. COOPER BARIATRICS IS THE WAY TO GO!
Wonderful...Dr.Oconnell was so kind and made me feel safe in every way. Just a pat on your hand goes a long way. He listened. First, he performed surgery on my daughter a few years ago. I knew then he would be my doctor if I ever decided to make that move. When Dr.Oconnell wasn't available Dr.Patel filled in. He was just as kind and made me comfortable with my care.
Dr. O’Connel was nice enough, but the staff at cooper bariatric are clueless. They will give you an attitude and will not listen to your concerns. I followed every instruction and direction before and after surgery to a T and still had complications. One nurse didn’t believe me when I couldn’t keep any liquids down after surgery. She made me drink lemonade, which made me non-stop puke. She pushed me out the door because they were closing with no answers as to why I couldn’t eat or drink.
