I became a surgeon because I enjoy helping people and love the technical side of surgery. Additionally, a passion of mine is staying on the cutting edge of surgery. This allows me to offer the best care to all my patients. On top of providing state-of-the-art surgical care, my goal for my patients is to provide excellent communication and make their surgical experience as comfortable as possible.

Dr. Heaton performed my naval hernia surgery yesterday and I highly recommend him and his staff. I was provided top notch care, they all were truely amazing and I couldnt be more pleased with the services provided. I am very grateful I selected him to do the operation. I had kinda an emergency bowel surgery in August 2018, Bowel blockage, torn bowel. I'm very grateful to Dr. Heaton for his expertise. I was so sick, and I thought I was in real trouble with the leaking bowel. I am very well, and grateful to Dr. Heaton.
I have had 3 prior surgeries performed by other doctors before Dr. Heaton and Dr. Heaton is the best of them all. One major difference that I really appreciated is that he spent time explaining, in detail and with sketched diagrams, how he was actually going to perform the surgery. In addition, he took the time to answer any questions I had and to calm some fears I had. He didn't "sugar coat" anything but was straight forward. I can't praise his manner and performance enough.
I am very very thankful to Dr. Heaton and St. Alphonsus staff in performing Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy of my Mom’s Gallbladder. Dr. Heaton makes me feel comfortable in talking about the procedure that needs to be done. He comes and visit in recovery room to see how’s my Mom doing. He is a very exceptional surgeon that I would like to refer to everyone. God bless you Doc for helping my Mom.
