I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision. I was evaluated for chronic sinus symptoms and was recommended to undergo balloon sinuplasty. My insurance denied coverage for the procedure. When I wanted to pursue an appeal, I was told that appeals for this type of denial were generally not successful. Beware! This doctor is very kind and charming, but he is very dishonest. My insurance would not cover my procedure and I pushed for an appeal. Sarah did not want to do it because “it’s never approved for this rejection reason”. The radiologist report indicated I had a normal CT and when I questioned this Dr did give a reason that seemed to make sense. Outstanding care I received by Dr. Bichey and staff. It took me many years to get this procedure done after years of other treatments with other ENTs. He is very knowledgeable on this procedure and it was pretty pain free. They also handle communication through text that they can all respond to, which is very convenient and helpful. super engaged until he gets the $20k payout for doing your 5 min balloon sinuplasty ($$ is amount billed by insurance, not sure what cut he gets). Post procedure care is lacking. He put my on mupirocin (anibtiotic ointment fo staph) for 5 weeks, 3x a day. Developed bleeding after a few weeks, but continued anyway. When I saw him and expressed concern, he told me to continue using the cream for another month and that if I was still having issues at our follow up he would want to do anther CT scan and ANOTHER balloon sinuplast... read more
Dr. Bichey is an absolutely amazing physician and extremely passionate about helping people be able to live a much better life. The balloon synoplasty and Aerin procedures were painless and approximately 15 minutes total. Having extremely bad allergies, these procedures have changed my life dramatically. Longer, REM (the restful state of sleep) sleep. Waking up refreshed, more energy, better performance in my career. I highly recommend Dr. Bichey to anyone who suffers from sinus problems.
