He's amazing! Spent 50 minutes with my son because his past doctor didn't effectively take care of my son's Ulcerative colitis disease. My son loves his new doctor! He's excited to start feeling like a teenager again! Thank You doctor!
Everything excellent in a doctor and also a person. You will never find a better gastroenterology. He literally fights for me about all my health issues so I can live a better quality of life. I love Dr. Whitmer and nurse Kelsey and Amity like my own family
Dr. Whitmer is an awesome doctor. He explains everything so you understand and is very personable. He just moved his practice from downriver but I will make the drive to continue to see him!

Excellent! He is very skilled and very caring. Spent a lot of time with me reviewing records and helping with diagnoses of complicated issues. Highly recommend! Also his NP Amity Bates is very knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate. A+ grades to both of them! I am a healthcare provider and have high standards of what I expect from my providers, Dr. Whitmer and Amity are top notch!
Dr. Whitmer is one of the best! He cares about his patients both psychically and their mood/quality of life. While I was in the hospital for an extended period of time, he would always stop by to see how I was, I mean being stuck in a hospital bed can make you a little crazy/angry/crabby and just plain mean. Yet he always came by to simply cheer me up. His skills are second to none, he knew that "something is not right" with me, even though the labs said I should be ok. He saved my life!
Total no show, double booked appt, then had the nerve to try to rebook me 2 more months out. STAY CLEAR OF THIS DR
