Dr Nichol saved me. I suffered a car accident and spinal cord injury in my cervical spine. He saw me promptly, ordered appropriate imaging, and performed an excellent surgical operation that stabilize my spine and help me regain the vast majority of the function in all of my extremities. I am also a physician and work in general and trauma surgery. He has done everything that was clinically indicated and also provided an immense amount of compassion, understanding, and knowledge to my situation. He’s a very gifted individual... read more
Dr. Nicol saved my life. I had a ruptured brain aneurism & he performed my life saving surgery. I am beyond appreciative of being blessed to have him as my neurosurgeon. I would not be where I am today (perfectly healthy with no side effects) without him. Thank you saving my life, Dr. Nicol!
Dr Nicol is very attentive, he has excellent follow up. He put a spiral simulator in my back in 2019 it did not help my spine. He removed it in 2020, at the same time he fussed my L4-L5 in my spine because I had a slipped vertebra. That relieved the pain shooting down my left leg. I'm still having pain in my left hip. He has referred me to an Orthopaedic Dr. Then I will follow-up with Dr. Nicole.
Complete abandoned after surgery .don't see this doctor.will be sorry
I had a L5-S1 Microdiscectomy with Dr Nicol that went amazingly. The staff at the office are helpful and very nice. The whole process from consultation to surgery was easy and I always felt informed on what the treatment plan was and how we were going to do the surgery. I would highly recommend coming to Dr. Nicol if you have any back problems. Him and his team will make sure you are taken care of!!
Inappropriate hysterical Behavior
Dr. Nicol operated on my back L3-L5 and removed the stenosis that caused sciatica that plagued me for years. I was up and walking hours after the surgery with no pain. It's been 2 years now and I have not had any reoccurring symptoms. Great bed side manner and excellent follow up. I will return to have him fix my neck!
If you suffer from a rare, complicated condition, don't expect Dr. Nicol to show ANY professional curiosity or open-mindedness about what you personally know about the specific condition, even after you've suffered and researched for years every possible resource on the subject. Oh...and if he can't open the crucial piece of imaging on the cd (tho you succeeded on your own at home later!), he won't even care!!! Why in the world would I want to trust a doctor like this? Shameful really...
Let's face it.....Neck or back surgery is delicate, and scary.....Dr. Nicol has done a lamenictomy, and were now preparing for 4 disk ACDF. I go into this surgery with a greater peace of mind, knowing his attentiveness, care and concern.... The hospital and his staff compliment the professionalism.
