I'm sorry, but I have to give 0/10. Being nice and polite is important, but it is more important to be competent. I had an eye exam six months before my appointment with Dr. Champion, with a reading of about 0.5. During the visit, the doctor adjusted my glasses to 1.75, which surprised me, but he said it was a good result. Eight months later, I went to another doctor, who said my glasses were way too strong, because my prescription was... 0.5. I had to have new, weaker glasses fitted. It was a waste of $700. I hate to leave a 1 star review but I feel it is necessary. Bob was great, friendly and knowledgable. My issue is with the unnecessary optomap retinal imaging I was subjected to. I was not informed of what procedure was about to be done. I came in for a simple eye exam required for a job application. Retinal imaging was absolutely not requested or required! I was applying for some jobs that required in-depth eye exams, and chose Mill Creek Optometry because their rates were the fairest I could find when calling around. Dr. Champion was great and didn't tack on random additional fees like a lot of other places. A couple months later it turned out the jobs I had applied to needed another form from me -- Dr. Champion took time out of his schedule to get them done for me as well as another quick exam for it, at no additional cost.
