He takes time with you.He listens.He allows my husband to stay in the room with me. He listens and pays attention to your needs.He answers any questions that I have. I feel better after a session with him.
His office staff are very kind. He runs behind soemtimes but takes time with you. He listens and tries to find what works for your situation. I had a nerve burn procedure for my knee what has helped like injections never did.
Dr. Carstens and his staff treat me very well. It's hard to find Dr s who will deal with workers comp. I think some negative reviews are from people trying to get narcotics. The nerve procedure I had worked great.
Treated me very rudely after I cancelled a Nerve Block he forced me to go back to work took me off disability. I said I wasn't ready ! Must be I screwed him out of the Money he was going to get. Forced medication that you didn't want on you, Back Brace's that you can't afford ! Makes you get your Medication from some private company instead of the Pharmacy that your Insurance accepts. He probably gets a portion of the sales . He is all about the money !

At first I thought Dr Carstens was a great Doctor. He preformed a Drug test on me, which I thought was completely fair and a normal until the results came back that I had other medications in my system. He wouldn't believe me, when I told him it couldn't be true. Since then I have found a new provider, who requested another drug test, which came back NORMAL !!!!My new dr actually takes the time to sit down listen to me, and help me with my concerns.
Started seeing Dr. Carstens in Novemeber 2015 and have only seen him 5 times and he just opened up his new practice in Hamburg NY 3 months before i had first seen him ! Wait time to see him, is about 3 hours ! Doesn't even sit with you in the medical room , after your 1st visit and tells you to come to his office and writes your scripts out , and your on your way ! He doesn't give you the time to talk about other meds or treatments he can do with you ! Now closing and dont care about you !
He has no time for negative feedback. He complains about other physicians and medical practices and asks you not to repeat it. He has no time for those with mental health issues. He forces religious music on his patients.
