Discovered a thyroid nodule via an incidental MRI. Had it tested and suspected Papillary Thyroid Cancer. Got quick consult with Dr Vazquez and her team. Additional ultrasound done in her office and got full explanation of options and opinions. She was patient and explained everything clearly. Indicated that the plan was for a lobectomy but if needed she would do more. Was not needed. Surgery went per plan, scar is healing nicely and the followup consult was thorough. Dr. Vasquez is a highly-skilled surgeon and a wonderful person! I had my thyroidectomy at the end of December. Due to her and my entire care team, I am 2+ weeks out and healing very well. She takes the time to explain everything and answers all questions. She was also exceptional with my family. She took the time to explain how the surgery went and answered all of their questions.
