Dr. Nallamothu is a wonderful psychiatrist who helped me when I was having awful side effects under a prescribed medication. She took the time to meet with me early due to what was going on, gave me good advice on medication management, and is overall a great listener and is very empathetic. My only complaint is that sometimes the appointments are started rather late, but it's psychiatry, I know the field is overworked and understaffed. Wow just got finished reading all the reviews and had a very sinilar experience as the person below. I was sent to dr nallamothu from kaiser for a psychiatric eval. Had an apt with her and she changed my meds and told me she was putting me off work. But then when i called back to her office staff to follow up not only was her staff unhelpful rude and condensending they denied the fact that the doctor agreed to putting me off work and refused to let me speak to the doctor. Terrible. Refused and cancelled my appointment after waiting for two hours. And said I can wait for my next appointment in two months.
I had a terrible experience with this psychiatrist, and I would advise others to think twice before making an appointment. She initially assured me that she could prescribe the medication I needed, but after a simple question, she suddenly changed her story and said she couldn’t help me at all. When I asked for an explanation, she escalated the situation, walked out of the room, and even threatened to call security without any real cause.
