I had a botched endometriosis excision surgery and hysterectomy by Dr Abdu in Sept 2025. He had Dr Moriah Wright, a colorectal surgeon, in the OR. I found Dr Abdu through Nancy’s Nook Endometriosis Group. 4 days after the surgery, I was in severe pain. I was rushed to a hospital by ambulance because Dr Abdu and/or Wright cut a hole in my colon and it was leaking into my abdomen. I read the reviews before seeing Dr. Abdu in person. I was a bit concerned due to the mixed reviews. I was referred to him by Dr. Crista Crisler after she found a mass on my ovary. He and the staff at West Clinic were very kind and patient. He discussed options, asked if I had any questions or concerns and we decided on surgery. It was scheduled very quickly. I was put through an extremely painful procedure for a diagnosis in my bladder. I then requested to see a specialist who told me that the procedure done with Abdu not prove the diagnosis and I would have to go through the procedure again, which ended up being the same procedure, but as an out patient surgery where I was sedated. Dr. Abdu is the most caring, compassionate and thorough doctor I’ve ever experienced. He made me feel heard & was genuinely concerned about me and my quality of life. His bedside manner is fantastic and he makes sure both his patient and their spouse understand the procedure and takes the time to answer any questions. I’m so very thankful that I was led to Dr. Abdu.
