I recently went to Cottage Health and Dr. Matthews saw me as the first patient of the day. She assumed I was having fertility issues when I came in for other issues. I was rushed because they booked it as a Pap smear so she did not even address other issues I had. Not only was the visit frustrating... Cottage billed my insurance for 4 lines items for what was 20 minutes with a Pap smear, no request for a urinalysis, not properly addressing my concerns and the most disappointing OBGYN experience I've ever had! Dr Matthews is a truly exceptional doctor. Incredibly experienced and intelligent. She is ‘old school’ in the best possible way in that she takes the time necessary to make sure you understand the medical issue, the medical procedure, the recommendations, etc. I would highly recommend her to anyone, be they 16 or 96 years of age with any kind of gynecological need.
