Saw Dr Bell for the 1st time, as new PCP at the Maury Co. VA Clinic. She failed to address my needs or concerns in a satisfactory manner, hurried me out after 15 minutes and ignored me while she walked away. Told me to “Return in 6 months and we’ll see how you’re doing then,” without doing or changing anything! Suggested she wasn’t willing to treat me because she didn’t know me and suggested I pay to see an MD outside the VA who would be willing to prescribe meds for me the VA wouldn’t.
The exam room floors are carpeted! Which makes me think they are not well sterilized. Communication is difficult with them, both at visits and when needing to ask questions by phone. A simple question about whether or not I can take a specific painkiller with the medicine I was given may not be answered for another 48 hours after I've placed the call. I need something for pain NOW! But I have no option other than to go back in or wait for a call back.
