Dr Akhtar is a very warmthful, human being. I will come with worries and get out happy and calm. I always pick up a book to read in every visit I made there. Very nice staff, and I always feel home. I will recommend him to everyone who needs a Dr beyond the physical aspect only.
Dr Ahktar is phenomenal, thorough, knowledgeable, and competent. Unfortunately, office staff aside, he does not monitor INR, which concludes our relationship with him. Too bad his office staff is a primary example of folks who didn't complete a primary education or further an education, folks. It's like talking to a child. Dr. Akhtar has been seeing my father for over 5 years; when my father was admitted to a hospital for a heart issue, Dr. Akhtar never returned our calls nor offered to visit my father when requested that he provide a second opinion. Was told by his staff that he doesn't visit HIS patients in hospitals for cardio related issues. Why bother being a Doctor if you wont' visit a patient in a hospital?
Bad experience. Dr. Akhtar was dismissive and rude. Sharing this because the interaction was so bad I don't want others to have to experience the same.
Horrible experience with this office. Made an appointment and had PCP send records for appointment. Completed paperwork online in advance. Arrived Dec 16th with my husband for appointment and front desk girl tells us the appointment was cancelled. Claims to have called us, which was not true. They had the wrong area code for our telephone number, never attempted the secondary telephone, or email address to reach us.
