Doctor recommended and administered the shingles vaccine. The patient is unable to contract shingles having never been exposed to the chickenpox. Failure to determine the true necessity of the vaccine has let to an out of pocket expense of $1,600. Recommend finding a doctor who does due diligence to ensure a medical procedure is actually necessary before recommending.
