I would give them a zero if possible. As of 6/4/2025, they have cancelled my appointments multiple time over the last 7 months and now have delayed my appointment on 6/19/2025 yet again until December 2025 due to a scheduling issue. I have a vision problem, and they expect me to wait another 7 months. Incompetents at its finest. Go to Wills Eye in PA if you are looking for quality eye medical care. It will be worth the drive and less time in the long run.
I have never been so disappointed. I had cataract surgery, the surgical staff was ok. During one of my visits I was left waiting in a exam room waiting for the doctor for 40 min. I was given the wrong script for eye glasses and nobody seemed to want to listen to me. I went to my eye office and there it was found. Oh yes I developed an infection in my right eye also. Office staff is terrible. Scheduled an appointment and spoke to three different people on three different days to confirm. Upon speaking to one person they said I was scheduled for an exam not a procedure and once she looked in the Dr’s notes she corrected it to reflect an appointment for a procedure. I arrive today and they don’t show me as having an appointment. Every other appointment takes 2-3 hours. Do not go to this office.
Wait time 3 hrs this is terrible for a paying patient and they charge 35 dollars for a missed appointment I will not be going here anymore I arrive at 10:15 and left at 1:15 never again
I saw Dr Cook today because the prescription he gave me was wrong and instead of making it right and admitting the mistake, he told me to go someplace else. DO NOT use him, it is shameful to treat a patient like that when he's in the wrong. I wasted money to have glasses done and even worse was his treatment of me as his patient. Shame on him.
I had eye surgery at this clinic many years ago. My surgery was successful and for many years I returned for a yearly examination. At that time I had medical insurance at this time I do not. I was told that this clinic is now under new ownership. It sounds like it has been taken over by a money grubbing bunch of scam artists to me. The doctors and staff are great at Delaware Eye Institute, but they are seriously overbooked. I had a 10:20 appointment for a second cataract consult. I waited until 11:00 before a teach took me back, checked my eyes, dilated them and sent me on to another waiting room. The TV in that waiting room was frozen on a Chik Fil A ad, and despite my alerting two staff members about it, nothing was done to remedy the situation. Went to Delaware Eye Institute for Eye Consultation for cataract eye surgery. After initial eye exam, was passed off to an Eye Doctor, that wasn't even listed as one of the cataract surgery doctors on their website. I asked some questions, the answers were okay, but I was concerned that someone would operate on my eyes that I knew nothing about. At katzen eye care & laser center today. Need caracts removed. The good news doctor surgery fee paid 100% by insurance. May be additional costs for surgery center. Since I have had prior LASIK/prk procedure I need to pay $1,650.00 per eye...explained by lady to be for measuring eyes. Very disappointed. Outrageous add on fee.
