Absolutely disgusted in the care I just received. I have had a hysterectomy scheduled for months. The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. I received a call from Colleen (absolutely could have cared less and made me feel like a number). I was told, "Your insurance did not pay for your surgery. I submitted the preauth on Friday." Why in the world would the office submit the preauth two business days prior to the scheduled surgery. I absolutely loved Dr. Bertles. She delivered my son in 2023 and it was a wonderful experience. Her staff was great and she was excellent in our appointments. I had such a positive experience it was a no brainer when it came time for my second pregnancy. I was surprised to call and learn that she has retired from prenatal and delivery work. Especially since it is still listed on the website. I would happily return to Dr. Bertles for wellness visits, but as I'm planning on more children I need to find alternative care.
I had high hopes after my first appointment with Dr. Ann M. Bertles—she was kind, professional, and everything went well. However, my experience with the front office staff was incredibly disappointing and ultimately led me to decide not to return to this practice. Dr. Bertles ordered an ultrasound for me to be done on a separate day, as their ultrasound tech is only available on specific days. I’ve been seeing Dr Bertles for a couple years and absolutely adore her. She delivered my son and I was able to have the birth I’ve always dreamed of. She’s been such a blessing to our family and I will continue to see her. I view her apart of our family now. Thank you so much!
Dr. Bertles has been my OBGYN for a couple of years now. She has great bedside manner; she’s thoughtful, patient, and kind. I am grateful for her insight, expertise, and unwavering support. She’s the one you want in your corner, for sure.
