We needed a veterinary ophthalmologist on an emergency basis after our Yorkie lost vision two nights in a row and two ER visits later the reason couldn’t be found. We were at risk of her losing vision permanently. I called this clinic and drive 2.5 hours to get there because they could get us in same day. All the staff were amazing with our dog. I cannot thank the team at Ophthalmology For Animals enough for the incredible care they provided for my dog, Som-e. From the very beginning, Dr. Horikawa was not only highly skilled but also genuinely kind and compassionate. Wonderful place with very kind people (front desk, tech, vet). They were able to get my dog in for an appointment quickly and have been so great. My dog is high anxiety and the staff were amazing at calming her and taking their time so my dog could tolerate the exam/treatment. If your animal has any sort of eye issue, I highly recommend just coming straight here for care!
After spending many thousands on several surgeries for my elderly dog, Lefty, I finally ran out of money. Dr. Gratzek refused to release my dog to me over some medicinal eye drops! A sherrif friend of mine had to pick her up for me, and kindly adopted her. But, because of this vet, I lost my beloved best friend, and our last year together was taken from me without warning.
