I was under the doctors care when my sister's home burned to the ground killing my 3 year old niece and 5 year old nephew years ago. I called the doctor hysterically crying and told him what happened and he said you just want more Xanax and hung up on me. The fire was in Ashland, he worked in Mt. Carmel. Just because he didn't watch it burn all night like I did doesn't mean it didn't happen. Guess the dick never drove past or saw it all over the news like the rest of our area did. Thanks "doctor". Xanax was the last thing on... read more

He directed me towards recovery. I used to live in the Carolinas prior to moving to central, PA. I saw him at a different office where he consults for a multi-County MH/MR program. While prior to seeing him, I virtually dictate to the physicians the direction of my treatment. At our first meeting he changed that. he was clear that he does not use internet or Tv to treat patients. furthermore i had to abide with his recommendations which include laboratory and radiological investigations. All these made all the changes in my ... read more

Does his job Dr. Newton looks after my 2 sons, a teen and an adolescent. he has helped improved their behavior. He does listen to the complains but would not hear ideas from internet of TV. He becomes upset whenever I said "i read it on the internet". In general he is a good doctor

he charges for not showing for appointment Started seeing him a year ago. there is a policy of "no call no show fee" at his office. i think this is not right. one must call 24 hours prior to the appointment to cancel. Aside from that he is very good at answering quetions and providing medical help. He could be "standoffish". rarely smiles but when he does has an infective one..just digressing. Well decorated office. His office staff are not all that friendly.

He diagnosed my condition right For many years I was treated for depression by my PCP and other psychiatrists. While I was no longer depressed, i continue to feel very tired and lethargic. He did a comprehensive blood work and diagnosed me with pernicious anemia (vit B12 deficiency). Mind you he is a psychiatrist. A shot of vit B12 monthly had turned my life around. to me he is a great physician.

He improved my life Dr. Newton treated me with a combination of medication and therapy. He is very intelligent and most times will tell you exactly the way the illness is. There should be no expectations of quick fixes and his method of treatment worked for me. prior to seeing him, I was not able to perform well in my job, or to even partake in activities of daily living. he had changed all that. He is an intelligent man. As a patient, just be honest and straightforward with him.

He gave our son back I wrote a review at a different site for this doctor. The summary is he saved our son. Me and my husband had taken our son to the biggest medical center in the area and we were simply told, "There is nothing wrong with your child, you are just bad parents". He was having troubles at school and at home. He did a full evaluation, referred us to another specialist who conducted more tests. He put him on two different medications and his improvement has been progressively rapid since then. Thank you for givi... read more
