I have had both hips replaced now. Everything went smoothly from diagnosis to final recovery. I would thoroughly recommend Dr McLean. Staff were always helpful making sure I got prompt answers to any questions I had.
I first came across Dr Andrew McLean at the QE11 in Brisbane. I then with a referral saw him at his practice, at Greenslopes Private Hospital. My knee requires surgery. I found Dr McLean very good, his opinions were concise and direct. His knowledge was clear and I felt very comfortable with the information he gave, including the recommendations. January 2026 I’ll have the surgery and I feel totally comfortable with Dr McLean performing the procedure.
I had a bilateral hip replacement. I found the admin lead up to surgery was very good. Staff very helpful at rearranging surgery times as I needed. My recovery after the operation has been very quick and all going to plan. 3 weeks out I am very pleased with progress. Pain levels very low and movement is good. Dr Andrew McLean is absolutely superb. His patient interaction style had my partner at ease from the start and he only got better from there. His referencing of recent articles in regards to my partners condition (arthrofibrosis post TKR), his bedside manner, his handling all above anything we expected. Absolutely worth more than 5 stars for his patient/surgeon interactions as well as his clinical knowledge and skills. My partner is back thanks to Dr McLean and I would recommend him to everyone.
