You're unfortunately not beating any stereotypes around how practically anyone can be hired as a receptionist at a medical practice – the more stroppy, 'rounded-up-at-the-bus-stop' in nature, the better. When a client calls up expressing feedback, the type that is actionable (so that you can actually HELP people), it's usually not wise to talk over and dismiss them when you're at fault. Really poor form, do better.
Dr Gibson was more wanting to tell what I did not have, very dismissive. When I said I needed to have a Rheumatologist manage my severe Osteoarthritis he stated ‘ I don’t look after patients with OA’. I asked who would then, his rude reply was ‘A Surgeon’. He needs to review what his website states!
Fantastic bedside manner, he actually too me seriously. Gave me all the options, let me choose and even though he wasn’t the right speciality for me, he was able to refer me to some equally lovely clinicians.
Dr Gibson is an amazing doctor! He diagnosed me in one appointment and instantly started the process of treatment for ankylosing spondylitis. I am so grateful for his help! Thanks to him I can start to live my life again and be in less pain ☺️
